Fiddleback User Pics

WOW, nice set!

Thanks Mist, I have to do some comparison, but my Asp and Kephart share a VERY similar profile... It's gotten me thinking a bit! I just picked up the Asp recently, but my guess is that it would handle just as well as the Kephart in bushcrafting tasks (point drilling, etc.) all while benefitting from the SP family handle ergonomics, although for what its worth my Kephart is 1/8 and the Asp is 5/32.

Yep. Hunter on the left. 3/16" O1. It will be my beater:D

LOL, you and Thurin both have beater Fiddlebacks :D More and more lately I am thinking a 3/16 Bushfinger with 3/4 to 4/5 grind height and a tapered tang would be ideal for this location in the cooler/colder months, and all around just bad ass :)

I've gifted/traded away most of my other fixed blades and it feels slightly odd beating on my 1/8" and full height ground 5/32" S35VN Fiddleback knives (they are probably surprisingly tough though).

I do beat on my Camp knife with a huge grin on my face, but it is a bit on the large side for carrying when on a short hike ;)

I used to have a first run Bark River Bravo-1 as my beater and I still have a soft spot for it so I've kept it and plan on doing so ;)

That is a sweet Camp knife. How thick? Have you ever checked out Chuddy Bear sheaths? They're very well made and handle larger blades well IMHO.
