Sorry, it's the end of a really long week.

But my son successfully tested for his next belt and I'm taking my wife to PF Changs to celebrate our anniversary so it's starting to look up.

That first photo is classic. It is like watching a magician perform the "vanishing knife" illusion. I miss that little Runt.

Happy 21st Anniversary!! I guess I already know what your wife got you for a gift.

LOL .. .my daughter saw thurin's picture and asked, 'how big is that guy?!?' .. and my casual and serious poker face response, 'well, judging from the known size of a Fiddleback Runt - *showing her a runt in my hand* - I'd say he's about 9 ft tall .. at the shoulders.' The look on her face was priceless.

That is a beautiful photo Tod! The lighting along with the weathered wood background makes the knives really pop. I love the molten look of the spalting on the scandi. I also like the pommel shape on that one. Both knives are very gorgeous, but that scandi is a real stand-out example.

I prefer the simple combos to the fancy ones. I hope we see more if the mid-line ever takes off.

Burlap in the Tetons. The Bushcrafter saw some good use and doesn't look so clean anymore. The Snake River is a little ways below this ridge--went swimming at Deadman's Bar right after taking this shot.
