Thanks Hasco! It is a Nikon D90 with jut a standard 18-55mm lens on these. Too many outgoing expenses right now to get the macro lens I really need. Hopefully that changes soon though...

Wow! I guess I have no excuses ... Although I have mostly been taking pics with my phone, that is the exact SLR set up I have. I have gotten lazy always having the phone with me.

I have a galaxy S4, and it takes decent pics for a phone, but doing so many photos for my work, it's just hard for me to be happy with the phone pics sometimes. But when I am out and about not working, I keep experimenting with what I can do with the phone. Lugging a DSLR everywhere can get annoying...sometimes I just want to walk in piece...but always run across shots I want to take...

That is a padre and the second knife is called the santokomuk or something similar
