Making Strides. My wife hates my knives. Generally she leaves the room when I have one in hand. I am trying to warm her up to them and prove they are just like any other knives in the kitchen. She actually held the runt tonight. [insert joke here].
In any case, not the best picture, but my wife, my father-in-law and I had dinner tonight and bam! Three fiddlebacks in action!

Looks good brother.

Thanks fellas. I usually eat with one of the two HBs, that was the first time eating with the BF and man...it makes for one heck of a steak knife!

Dude, your killing me. My wife never goes out of town, and I have come to hate boneless, skinless chicken breasts. My life has become a saying that we used to have in the Marine Corps about the chow when one Marine would look at the tray of another Marine and inquire "what is that? It doesn't look very good." The Marine who's food it was that was the topic of conversation would reply "no, it isn't very good. But it'll make a turd."

That steak looks perfect!

Camp Meal:

Steak on the grill, potato cooked in the coals, corn in the cook pot (not shown: biscuit from the dutch oven). Fiddleback to cut it up with.

Boy I turned some heads at dinner last night when me and my lady went out for a nice dinner. The knife that I was giving to to cut my porter house up with wouldn't even cut butter. So I had to break out my trusted Hiking Buddy to do the job.

Crazyfingers, that's awesome. :)

Ha! Long Day... Vance, I read what you wrote and proceeded to write the exact same thing and post it again. My head is somewhere else. In any case, CF, that is hilarious and it would have been awesome to see the looks from the table sitting right next to you. Good work!
