Fiddlebacks and Food

Chicken on the spit. With flatbread, grilled veggies, sweet biscuits, berries and whipped cream - not shown because nobody would pause the eating frenzy long enough to let me take a knife pic. Including me.

The most horrifying part was that just after I took this pic my prop sticks slipped and the spit spun, dumping my knife into the fire. And yes, I did reach in to grab it. No harm done.

Awesome, my favorite kind of chicken!! And just goes to show that with the right motivation, all things are possible :D

Cook'n up some salmon for the wife's bday. I finish off salmon w/ pecan oil - you folks in Georgia might know what I'm talking about (they have some of the best, although this bottle came from a plantation in Louisiana).

My favourite kind of chicken as well. Glad the knife was unharmed (that's probably the first time this has been said) [emoji848]

Can't say as much for the hair on my arm and the skin on my knuckles...but I saved my knife!

I know the fashion is for thin at the moment but save some love for the big knives, they can be "Slicey " too, and "choppy" when required[emoji2]

I'd rather slice with a thick heavy knife, than chop with a thin light one any day :)

Thought I'd try the Forager in the kitchen. It's a little heavy, but it will cut. [emoji4] My oldest daughter wanted to help with the veggies. I need to teach her to curl her fingers under.

Kill 2 birds with one stone and make sure you're in the air at 3:00 EST on Friday ... that should save you money and help pay airfare ;-)

Those look delicious Abe. Very nice Bushfinger as well, let me know when you are done with it and I'll gladly take it off your hands!
