Fiddlebacks and Food

Damn, if I were the type to need an appetite enhancer, this thread would certainly do the trick!

The photos leading up to this, and some others not inside, are part of another thread I'll post later.

Alayna helping me add a bit of Hobbit factor to my Hobbit experiments :)

I posted this in under-rated fiddlebacks, but since it's finished, I'll post it here also.

I think the Toboggan falls into the category of under rated knives in the line up. It'd got a good handle for the shortish blade with a good working belly to the blade. It really shined last night when I was deboning the turkey and making a sausage stuffed turkey roll.

The final roll before I twined it up.

After coming out of the oven, I could not help myself and added a little garnish. I definitely need to work on the presentation next time around. Maybe wrap it in a bacon blanket so it doesn't look like a giant grub.

To me anything can be a kitchen tool. My wife sent them through the dish washer afterwards and they now have a "slight patina." The good news is that I can now consider the dishwasher as a parts washer.

Happy Thanksgiving you guys!
