Alayna and I had lamb chops, sauteed mushrooms, and baked potatoes earlier. I've been letting her use the Handyman some, just to get used to a guardless knife. So she used the Handyman, and I used the Esquire She's doing alright with it, but I'm still not ready to let her have a guardless knife for the woods yet.
A little family steak dinner last night that really hit the spot. Then we watched Finding Dory. Been working too much lately so great to sit down for the night with the whole family.
A few leftovers this morning made for great omelette fixins.
Here is my W.A. Surls Skiva that I used to make some smoked turkey Posole. Traditionally it has pork and I have made it that way before but the smoked turkey version is just as good. I like to serve mine with a good hearty bread and top it off with some fresh green onion, cilantro and a little more fresh squeezed lime juice.
This my W.A. Surls Hognose Skinner and it is an excellent little knife in the kitchen. I use it to chop up the meat from the turkey neck to make some turkey neck gravy for myself and my two dogs as my wife is not a gravy person. I'm not for sure who loves the gravy more, my dogs or me.
