2009 Forum knife - Barlow or Swayback

I went barlow again, still hopping for Charlies' idea to come true! I'd go for the swayback if we could get something bigger than the Case... just too short for me.
 
And it's Barlow pulling even!! Barlow's got the inside lane!!
Come on Barlow!!!!!!!
 
Ok fellow forumites I had commited last year but an unforseen (personal) situation preclueded my ability to carry thru not sure if my vote will count but I do like the Barlow and will do all I can to honor a commitment.
 
I voted swayback, but would like to reverse and go with the Barlow. That should make it Barlow 34, Swayback 31. Give an old man some slack, mind is about gone, but I do think more options seem to be open for the Barlow. Hence the change.

It is now 34 to 34 with my original vote reversed.:eek:
 
There have also been one cancelled vote sent to me.
(It can be seen in my Visitor Messages.
The vote was for a swayback. (so another one can be subtracted).
 
Wow, tied between the Barlow fans versus the Swayback fans!


I think either pattern is a great one to have in any collection.
 
Wow.. Talk about close.. So, If I am reading this right, with the 2 changes, we remove 2 from Swayback, and add 1 to the barlow side, right?

Is the suspense getting to anyone else? :)

This is why I love democracy. I voted for the sbj. However, if it turns out to be barlow, I would love it as well.

As long as this knife turns out well, I will be happy.

I voted Barlow but I'm fairly sure I don't have a Swayback in the case so either way please put me down for one of the winning pattern.

Scales, as long as it's not Christmas tree I'm in.

Blades, I prefer carbon steel but it's just a preference, SS is OK.

I'd like a swayback. Carbon. But i think i could be persuaded to go for a barlow if that pattern wins.
 
I just voted Barlow and tied it up 43 vs 43. Money is short this year and I am only going to buy one knife in 2009. Considering the forum and the individuals helping here I decided to purchase the forum knife as the one knife I am able to purchase. I like all the choices available in the Barlow. If it ends up being a swayback that will be OK. I have enjoyed many hours in this forum and will go along with whatever is decided by the group. Thanks very much for all your help it is very considerate of all of you. OK I'm off to the hardware store to look at pvc joints for the garden this year. Thanks guys. Exby
