First Look - Kershaw Knockout

I love the look of this knife, and I'm glad y'all decided to switch to g10.

Thanks for showing is Thomas. I'll definitely be buying 2. :)

Love this one... really digging the flipper as well as the low profile clip... not a fan of the "bulky" style clips as found on the Cyclone/JYD

I usually buy kershaws because of their assisted opening, as I have not found many other companies that had the assisted opening feature that I liked, so I say keep it and KEEP THE ALUMINUM (that polished one is gorgeus)

Keep the aluminum handle or make both. I was gonna buy this but :grumpy:. i really like the aluminum handles. I was gonna get this knife and the piston and you all are changing the handles on both to G10.

+1 I like G-10 but was more intereted in aluminum. I have a lot of G-10 and was hoping for something diferent.

Update:

We have opted to use G-10 as the handle material on the Knockout.

Delivery will be late 2nd quarter.

I have been an unregistered lurker since the beginning of this thread, I registered JUST so I can say how incredibly disappointed I am that you are not going with the aluminum handle, or atleast offer them in both! I have been more excited about this knife than any other in years, and thought everything was absolutely perfect about it, until now. IMO you can't beat the solid feel of a nicely machined, bead blasted & hardcoat anodized aluminum handle. I think it just gives a distinct feeling of quality and dependability in a knife. Not that I hate G10, I've got plenty of blades wearing it, it just seems that G10 has become sort of a cliché in modern knives and takes away some of the uniqueness that that Knockout possesses. I assume Kershaw made this decision based on a manufacturing cost perspective, if they offered both, I would have not any problem paying extra for the aluminum handle. Heck, I'de buy one of each, but I probably couldn't buy just a G10 one because the idea that it could have been aluminum would drive me crazy!

I prefer the g10 myself....aluminum just feels...cheap.

A great design, one I'd like to acquire

I agree with G-10 being a better choice than aluminum ... it feels better in my hand.

Some colors (orange) would be nice too ...

cant believe I did not see this earlier, love the design and blade shape. Too many kershaws I like but recurve steers me away so this is a must for me.

Agree with you there. G10 has been growing on me as a handle material this past year, but I still prefer aluminum by a fair bit.

The Knockout would look super sweet in orange g-10. Hope there are multiple color choices when she is released.:)

Uhmmm is it me or is Kershaw just getting better and better? I really want one of these. G10 is fine with me.

Thomas:

Loved it in You tube Video TNP did on Knockout. Your girl did well also.

I love Knockout size, blade shape, scale shape, flipper design, certainly the new tech lock design( Quotos on Patent) Oh and your new clips are rocking!!! Would like to see "Some Gimping" and optional colored G10 handles sold so we don't all have more black G10 tacticool blades, knife world looking like Amish fair lately. Also that organic design on G10 scale is to feminine!!

I see that Protech, Microtech, Hinderer and Sypderco knives with colored scales seem to sell well. You used lots of color on 7000 auto, got both purple and green so far.

Color it up Bro!!! Or offer accessorization options. Look at the aftermarket auto business and how many guys would like to mod there 551's but don't as few guys that do custom scales charge cost of a new knife, ( though I get the custom one off time value )

Ford cars were all black at one time too, til they progressed.
