Keep the aluminum handle or make both. I was gonna buy this but :grumpy:. i really like the aluminum handles. I was gonna get this knife and the piston and you all are changing the handles on both to G10.
drop the assist for an IKBS pivot and strong detent. just sayin'
Any new info on this? G10 or alluminum?
Update:
We have opted to use G-10 as the handle material on the Knockout.
Delivery will be late 2nd quarter.

I have been an unregistered lurker since the beginning of this thread, I registered JUST so I can say how incredibly disappointed I am that you are not going with the aluminum handle, or atleast offer them in both! I have been more excited about this knife than any other in years, and thought everything was absolutely perfect about it, until now. IMO you can't beat the solid feel of a nicely machined, bead blasted & hardcoat anodized aluminum handle. I think it just gives a distinct feeling of quality and dependability in a knife. Not that I hate G10, I've got plenty of blades wearing it, it just seems that G10 has become sort of a cliché in modern knives and takes away some of the uniqueness that that Knockout possesses. I assume Kershaw made this decision based on a manufacturing cost perspective, if they offered both, I would have not any problem paying extra for the aluminum handle. Heck, I'de buy one of each, but I probably couldn't buy just a G10 one because the idea that it could have been aluminum would drive me crazy!
