First Look - ZT 0777

I know (personally) some absolutely top-in-the-nation IP lawyers who would LOVE to have kershaw as a client.

Thomas, if your company needs backup, send me a note.

the person who posted the pics said microtech had them at their table at NYCKS (the ripoff's also have the microtech dagger, IIRC that means they are customs)

I just saw this right now, incredible. That is far more than a coincidence. I also prefer the ZT0777.

Didn't Microtech also make "collaborations" or steal ideas from strider and mikov knives as well?

They've done this before?

The more I hear about Microtech, the more disgusted I become.

I see a strongly worded letter followed by a strongly worded court filing in their future.

That's just what I heard, and you can clearly see the other companies influences on the custom microtech sng, and the microtech oss cobra. From what I have heard microtech called both of those knives collaborations while the other party called them copies.

Some large cahones there methinks..It's one thing to be inspired, but this isn't "inspiration" at all...appears to be a flat out rip-off. :(

Just google the microtech SNG "collaboration" and its clearly a rip-off, but not nearly as much as the 0777 clone.

At least from the pictures you can tell the 0777 has more precision, class, and machining in them. Those Microtechs look like the 0777's dirty cousin compared to it's upscale look, plus knowing the prices of Microtechs Custom I am sure the 0777 offers better materials, workmanship, and Originality at a better price.

Is there some kind of a collaboration with Microtech, license? You're making them for Microtech?

I must say that this is pretty confusing...

Except that the Microtech version is probably overpriced, uses proprietary screws, and we all know how much MT hates their customers.

In exchange for ripping the 0777 design, they should give you guys rights to manufacture their OTF's

I think the Microtech SnG was a collaboration with Strider Knives. I recall hearing someone at Strider say that, but maybe not.

This on the other hand is a blatant copy. If Thomas says there is no deal between the two, then this is ridiculous. Jr. deserves to get his ass handed to him on this.

Microtech has really gone in the wrong direction since moving from Vero Beech
