Very nice man. I was going to do something similar to mine, if it ever gets here, haha.Didn’t even give it a full hour. Wiped the excess oil off and now I’ll give it a few days to cure...

Not sure yet, but something dark. Thanks, Dubz.
What color are you inclined to use?
Don’t forget, you need to own the King too!Cool! I had best get to posting, then.
Yeah it sucks
Vinegaroon? So many decisions to make! I've a drawer full of fancy hardwoods to make new scales from. Maybe roasted birch, or African Blackwood.
A little vinegar on walnut will darken it up real Nice, too. Or if you have a day or two, make up a batch of vinegaroon.
Google “vinegaroon spider”. Dare ya.Vinegaroon?
Looks good. If you want to post pics, find the “BBC” code and copy&paste it. There’s a how-to further down on this forum. Oh, and don’t try and use the apps for that; they’re worse than useless.Serious envy going on seeing all the new shinies. Guess I'll have to make do with the current Keps. Condor and a homemade one cut from an OH butcher.
Edit: image posting doesn't seem to be my friend at the moment... So here's a link

I've seen where people repair an old shed, etc, and spray vinegar to age it, and match the rest. Works very well.So many decisions to make! I've a drawer full of fancy hardwoods to make new scales from. Maybe roasted birch, or African Blackwood.

Looks good, but not as dark as it looked earlier.![]()
About to post more pics in the Becker Knives Pics Thread...
I'm gonna turn mine into a clip point as soon as it comes in, haha.just saying, there's going to be a contest.
original non modified secret sauce required
for the love of the ghods, use your knives as made for at least a couple weeks
there's a reason!
(if you modify it, it's not a Kephart anymore, and that's t he whole point)
