yup, voided the warranty. i see you even lost the thing that was in the "extra" hole :D

hahahahah.

you need that thing for future contests.

Brass screw time. They only had 3/8 and 5/8 so I cut the 5/8 down to 1/2

Can you give a thread size that's best?
I'm sorry I didn't look much into it, but I have an idea I planned on looking into, if it pans out, obviously I'll show It off.

wow, not even in hand a few hours, and people are modding them ;)

didn't ever wonder what a knife might be like unmodded for a week?

I literally had sand paper and oil in my hand, took the knife apart after maybe 10 seconds..... the wood is soft, and thirsty. It NEEDS oil, or Some kind of finish.

I didn't even cut paper yet

It definitely is a light and nimble knife, but imo, these are NOT Lookers or safe queens! It's meant to be loved outside in the woods.......

This one, is going to be my daughter's First knife, for Xmas.....and because of That, I think it's worth the it.

Hmm... some of these tear down pics has me wondering if some scales from Hunter at Huntsman Knife I received from a fund raiser last year would fit. Good thing I have 3 on order so I can leave one as-is and use it that way and then "make it mine" with another. I'll have to re-shape the outline of the scales a bit and hope the screw holes line up "good enough" but the seems like the specs have them pretty close. The taper towards the front of the handle and the height of these scales but I think the texturing is really what I would like to capture... and the black/orange looks. I feel like it takes away from the kephart history a bit but I've been waiting for something nice to put em on if I can't find time to make something like I hoped a a year ago.

As far as there being any b.l.o. present or not, I am unsure. If it is there, it is very thin. Mineral oil soaked right in well. I used Obenauf's HD Leather Preservative on the sheath. Speaking of which, the sheath seems to have a purple haze to it in full sunlight. (Hendrick's fan!) Sanding of my wood scales will NOT be happeninig. I like grip texture, too many wooden handled hammers have taught me well. Rough that lumber up!!

Birth pangs. I searched for 2 years to find the CZ75b I wanted in 9mm. That was right after the Sandy Hook rebound/gun drought.
Since then ...
