Fishing, and hunting reports (share yours)

We were hunting bear in Northern Maine. My friend from years ago invited me along. I was honored. It was such a blessing to spend time with him and his fine son. I helped them both set baits and drag out the bear off the mountain. His son was experiencing his first ever bear hunt and got a male on day 3. My friend got his on day 1.

I did not get one, but the main goal of spending wonderful time together was accomplished.

My br has a large farm north of there and I hope to go back and hunt next year at his farm.

that's a Tobin 16ga that has been converted to straight stock. I was shooting the Savage Fox model B 16ga above it. American classic doubles are a rabbit hole but you can find field grade guns for reasonable prices.

turns out the Tobin Arms is a factory English stock

Nice, I’ll have to start looking for something cool like that. I checked out the CZ Bobwhites before but didn’t care for the fit and finish on the guns that were available.

I’m a fan of 16ga. as well 🍻
