Fixed blades

My 1st ever knife show . . . here in 'Merry Old England'. . . was great fun 😃

Nice write up, what knives do you have in the chopper size?
These heftier fixed blades in the middle sized range (4.4"-6" blades) are what I would classify as the fixed blade choppers of my collection. I have a brush clearing axe, some machetes (including a couple of kukris), and various axes that are what I've always used as choppers, so I haven't gravitated towards getting those kinds of knives, although they do look pretty cool. My Bark River Bravo 1 and Benchmade Sibert Bushcrafter would have also been good candidates of comparable heft for this hack and whack testing, but when you're stored with folders you sometimes get left behind during a quick grab and go sorting of fixed blades.
Needs a Chopper or two....
I wrote a note for Santa, but he's been a bit stingy on the subject of 3V steel blades of unusual size. At some point in the future I hope to add a Carothers and a Busse to fill that hole in the collection.

Get a Skrama in the mean time! Seriously a lot of knife at any price point, but a steal with what they charge.

The Terava Skrama has been on The List for a while now. It seems every time I scratch a knife off that list, another one gets added and two more are up for consideration. It's just a matter of it being available at the right time versus another knife I want being on sale. I've had the Spyderco Endura 4 on my list for years and always something else wins out in the battle for my wallet.

I carry orange Endura’s for chores at the property- they are really nice, and despite what many say, VG10 is pretty great for everyday use and takes a screaming sharp edge very quickly. Heads up for big sales around Thanksgiving from legit dealers!

I just can’t get over what a great knife the Skrama 240 is after really using it hard. It chops well, can do finer cuts, works as a draw knife, the handle is awesome, and it sharpens quickly while holding a good edge for quite a while. Of all of my knives it is in my ‘top 3’ favorites, and that alone just astounds me.

Does this hold well?
I'm not too sure I like the rear end, but that palm swell is super sexy!

I'd like to try those angles/breaks someday.
I'm happy with Mine, but I'm going to try a few models with something more sculpted..... Mostly because. For Art's sake, if anything......
It fits my mitts just fine! The swell is a teeny more pronounced than I like, but it’s a great knife.
