Recently bought a “small machete” to carry in my car. This Schrade was a cheap addition to my trunk. I didn’t care for the handles so I changed it up with a chord wrap. Also, I put some “bite” on the now not so false edge. Nothing false about it after some file work. Overall length is about 15 inches, the price point was very good and the edge holds a nice edge after knocking down the factory one. I would say at best this is a light duty, sufficient small chopper for a fair price ($10). I didn’t want to go expensive, as I’d prefer to focus my money on a more traditional, better made sheath knife and less on a small machete. But, I wouldn’t fully call this a machete, and I wouldn’t call it a Bowie either due to its lighter weight. However, it is not too bad for the price as a light chopper with benefits. Thanks for looking.

A couple of my favorite users. TOPS Operator and Kizer Bastardo. I bought the Kizer as a blank and put the scales on it and made it a sheath. Great balance for such an affordable knife.
