Fixed blades

Awesome.

So far, the SDFK is my favorite Carothers. Perfect "field knife", in my very humble opinion. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who got a chance to score one.
It is a little larger than my daily driver (p&l) but a little smaller than the tglb, I'm hopeful that it will sway me to replace my p&l from my bag.

How do you compare these two ? Already have a preference ?
They are very similar in size and capabilities no doubt. I really like the CPK for sure but it’s going to be hard to top this particular Busse. Time will tell but I felt pretty lucky to get it today. They are both keepers
Edit: To more directly answer that: in comparison I like both handles about the same but slightly give the nod to CPK due to the tubes on Busse leaving a sort of divit in the scale vs smooth and the grind and blade height is more to my liking on the CPK as well. The choil goes to Busse due to the ability to do choke up work more comfortably without worry of a cut and it’s thumb ramp is more favorable to my hand as well. I like the fact that I can put a lanyard on the Busse.
So far that’s the initial assessment. I wouldn’t want to choose between them yet for sure.
