Fixed blades

That’s how I feel about my Mega Ratweiler.
It took significant effort to thin that edge out and reprofile it. Factory edge was meant for busting up rocks or hitting steel. Now it's perfect for me, good cutter with the ability to be roughed up and pry. I gotta make every blade my own, change/dye handles, reprofile etc.. but the result is a way more useful tool for the tasks I want.

Not really a fixed blade guy. I gave both of mine to my father, and now they are once again mine. I knew where he kept the Becker BK-5 sharpened by the legendary Jerry Fisk, I won the knife in a giveaway here at BF). 4 years ago when I moved back in with the parents I gave him my Spyderco Aqua Salt. Never saw it again, until 20 minutes ago.

I figured it was packed away somewhere in his workshop or the garage with other fishing gear.

I was in the kitchen and dining room looking for my grandma's favorite scotch glass when she finds at the very top shelf of one of the glass cabinets my Aqua Salt. How it got there, no idea. My dad was prone to using something, setting it down, and leaving it there, then forgetting about it. Probably found ten vape things in random places. He probably left behind $5k in vape guns and accessories, juice, etc.

Anyway, as expected, the Aqua Salt was no worse for wear.

The p&l statement handle beats the rmd handle too.

Nathan is a good machinist and makes great knives. Love my cpk's too. I need a fk2 to go with my edc2 and dek1.
Ha the FK2 is actually the one I'm probably going to let go of. I have the non-signature field knife that I like a little better. And have a DEK on order.
