Awesome!!! I'm very pleased you hooked up with Gene. He's my brother from another mother and a solid friend, he hasn't been postin' much lately, but look for some interesting stuff from him in the near future.

Pretty sure he has some blades available now too.

I Love his style..... Do you know if he has any Art background?
He has a very unique look.....almost like Busse, Koyote, Siegle, Beck, Gossman, and I'll include Me, and you give each of us shots of tequila. 😝😝😝😝😝😝
Hard to describe, easy to see.
He has a very organic look, that you can't fake.... I like it A lot.
Very Cool.
Bad Ass.

He has a lot of influences, some of the ones you mentioned, he also makes some cool hidden tang blades, brute de forge and bushcraft knives as well.

His handles are extremely well thought out, being a talented carpenter by trade and using hand tools throughout the years definitely have influence as well.

Very comfy in hand and love to be used.

Yes, the handles look very well formed!

I'm making more all the time. Built one with you in mind just now. A Rodeo dressed up like your Ranchero! Second row from the bottom on the right:

Yeah I didn't make some of these. They're all lined out to be assigned a slot in the box for sheath making.

Heck I'm retired, I only do 15-20 at a time these days! Seriously, I've lost count.

Horsewright Horsewright Thanks for the lovely Rodeo!! I can't wait to see the finished sheath 😍

As of right now, my little well-used 1095 Cro-Van BK-2 is straight-up SMOKING my new BK-82 in the "shaving" department...

With that, I've had over five years to perfect the edge on the "Old School" BK-2. Sharpening the 60-63RC Magnacut "82", to the point where I prefer my "field knives", has proven to be a bit of a challenge.
