What did you take him(?) with?
Thanks Crag, customer supplied.

Aardvark Aardvark Can't speak to that one but can to this one. Lil Dad brag.

My daughter took this one with a 7mm STW. Ranged 320 yard shot:

Don't hear much about that cartridge these days.

The 7MM STW is her boyfriend's. He was guide too but not involved in this knife deal. She likes to shoot the big boomers. Here his .300 Remington UltraMag.

That lil round on the right is the 7mm STW. Here she is working with the 7mm STW:

Thanks guys! Done good on all three kids. She's an ER RN, one son is an IT guy for an aerospace company and the third is a working cowboy. All very independent adults.

Perhaps it's a different 7? Not the STW. I thought it was. Definitely not the 7x57 which I have in a Mod 70 Featherweight. Nor the 7 mm Mag.The 7 is definitely on the right in that pic in the nickel case. The Ultra Mag in the brass case on the left. Perhaps I can find out for sure

The one on the right looks like a 7 mm Rem. mag............An STW is an 8mm magnum necked down to 7mm....Cartridge is as long as my middle finger....No biggie.....Great stuff as always!! Thanks for sharing!!

That cartridge with the nickel case looks like it might be one of them there newfangled 7mm PRCs. High BC bullet and all. Interesting

Having done a lil leg work on this question I’m inclined to agree with you. I was at that range session pictured and fired the rifle quite a few times as well as the big boomer. I’m very familiar with the 7mm mag and it was not that. I checked the rifle maker’s website and the only two 7mms offered are the mag and the PRC. So PRC it is.

I threw justifying out the window years ago, life's a short wild ride, buy what you can afford and makes you smile like when a certain person finds parmesan cheese in the carpet. I need to do an updated group shot.

I don't let my knife stable get to large because then they don't get enough use, so I maintain a smaller quantity than most here. My general rule is no safe queens.
No safe queens!
