Fixed blades

swRgqnJ.jpg

LT Wright "GNS". O1 steel, Scandinavian grind, micarta grip, JRE sheath.
I have other fixed blade belt knives. Would they work in almost all tasks? Yes. But, I wanted a knife oriented and maybe better suited for processing wood, carving, etc.
Best regards and God bless

This is a field/camp bowie I made for my 14 year old son for Christmas. Its a complete take-down frame handle bowie. Blade is forged from 1075. All the fittings, scales and frame are black g-10 with red turbo glow accents.

I even brought my leather working tools and skills (if you can call it that) to make the sheath system.

Pretty cool..👌 Great work... Beautiful hamon.. 👍

Haven’t had a chance to really chop with it yet. I was concerned about the grind as well but it is very sharp and bit in like crazy when i split a log with it.
I was also able to make some feathers with it so i am happy.
I will chop some stuff this weekend and report back. 🫡
