Had some coffee outdoors this morning with Grim, brought the Fiskars X5, Mora Robust and Firebox Nano in my pack.

Hard to find dry wood...
chopped of a branch and split it with the X5

Got my fire going with some birchbark, but my wood was very damp, didn't burn well...

So I spend the whole time making shavings to keep the fire going... the Nora Robust worked just a bit quicker for that

But then my water is boiling...

And we have some coffee

Then it's time to move on

I owned a German shorthair. Once getting a sent (a female in heat) we'd find him in the next county. Great bird dogs!
