Flashlights

Just ordered an Xtar VP2. Seems the reviews are very good, and the ability to use it and a couple 18650's as an external battery pack really seems awesome.

The more I see that trans green, the more I like it! I once had a bark river with slabs in it, but they were polished & had blue liners, & well, they just didn't look as good as it does on a Hinderer! Thanks for the pics Rubi! Unfortunately, they ain't helpin' the wait! This is almost as bad as waitin' on a suppressor!!!

I've had mine for about a week now, put a few sets of R123s through it so far and I'm digging it. I like the feedback of the "real-time" voltage state and the addition of the red/green status LEDs is a nice touch from the VP1. The USB charging port is convenient as well.

Now I just need to buy some other flashlights that take different batteries so I can play with some different ones ;)

Rubi and KJ really nice pictures, the addition of the DLC investigator pens finishes it off nicely. I'll try later to post mine.

Great pics KJ and thank you F.O.

Had that "feeling" the other day with my Black E.D. pen - Took it into a meeting/appt and day or two later went to where it should have been and it wasn't there.
I resigned myself to "it's gone".
Found it under the seat in my truck (thankfully) it is now back in it's rightful place.
Use it/Return it. Use it/Return it. (listen to your own advice Rubi (dumbass))

About the Hinderer pens, maybe some here can help me. I've had 1 too many comments at work about my current pen (tuffwriter operator), and ya'lls pics have headed me down the Investigator route. Either brass, or stainless, but my question is this, what size o-rings fit the 10 slits on one? I've got an idea for in the not too distant future...

I do suggest taking it along to the hardware / similar store of choice and seeing what works toward your preferences though.

Light fits very snug, but does not require 2 hands to remove. Battery carrier is another story, that thing takes a moment to get out.

The clip on this thing is unreal. I'm much more worried about the belt breaking that the clip breaking or even bending. Definitely takes 2 hands to put it on and take it off.

Worn it for the morning somewhere between 7 and 9 o clock on the belt. Hasn't gotten in the way so far, but time will tell.

For anyone that was wanting a Mac's light, I hope you got your order in. He finally shut down the website to catch up with backorders. Probably should have done it a while back IMO.
