Flashlights

Well, I was about to order one through HDS with the thought that I could get a refund if one appeared in stock. Right about that time one popped and I got the email notice. Although, knowing me I'd probably let the one on order ride and then have two :D

HA! Talk about coincidence! I just got an email notice from a certain dealer that aftermarket Ti clips for HDS clickies are back in stock. Now, if someone would just make one for the rotary I'd be all set… PM me if anyone wants the clicky clip info, although with a little research I'm sure they could be discovered - they are very "Unique" and carry "Titanium" items...

Nice use of quotation marks.

I received an e-mail from someone that thinks "dark sucks" about Ti clips for the HDS clicky too.

Rubi, the comment "Having F.O. as a friend/neighbor is like finding an HDS AND an XM18 in your stocking on Christmas morning". Thank you so much for the compliment, however I feel that way toward all the "regulars" on this sub forum. I know each one of us would extend a helping hand to our neighbors and to anyone one who truly needs our help. It is just who we are.

While I am not ready to plop down for a HDS, McGizmo or other custom lights, I did pick up a V10R Ti+ on the bay, and man, am I impressed with this little light. Now all I have to do is upgrade to a RCR123 and get 500 lumens out of this little beast. Seems to be one heck of light for the price point, especially on the pre-owned market. Any member's experience with them would be greatly appreciated.

I had my eye on one of those for quite a while! Had the "kit" in my wish list on the jungle site for several months, but with the minimal price difference I plopped the duckets down on a hds rotary 250. I'm still about 3 weeks or more out on my hds, so, I mighta, shoulda, coulda got the v10, but I'm already in on the hds, so I'll hold out. Might I ask what you paid on the secondary market for it? I've seen a few modded for sale over on cpf, but none that were cheap enough to make me jump.

Thanks guys. It was $110 shipped with the whole kit and caboodle, including the ti AA extender. It is in the same condition as you would expect having carried it for a week. Here is a pic of the current selection, as I am waiting on my copper Maratac CR123, and if it is half as cool as I think it looks, it will be a real value at $58.

Try not to bite too hard on the spec sheet claims for foreign-made lights, especially the exaggerated claims of using a rechargeable cell.

I'm glad to see somebody else still carryin' a novatac! My current work light is a 120p that I've had for years. I added a glass lens, a red filter for when I get home & unlock my gate, and carry it in an old maxped doublestack mag pouch. It's been reliable!

I am not going to measure lumens, and don't really care about the exact output. After having read reviews on other forums and watching video reviews of the light with the RCR battery, it still packs a great punch for the size, and that is all I care about.

Right on...I don't care much for claimed info. either, nor do I test the outputs. And I do not trust a tube video or reviews in general...only in total...in that; "you" take in a lot of information and find as close to truth as possible while viewing everything with healthy criticism and understanding.

Real use tells if a light is right for "you" and is a big reason I continue searching for the right light(s) for me.

As others have said, nice lights.

I have a v11r and can tell a fairly noticeable difference between rechargeables and primaries. I am not sure it is the claimed 570 lumens but it much brighter.

Great pictures Watchnut, I'm sure you will enjoy that V10R Ti, I have one and it serves me well. Great close flood light and hefty Ti feel to it, nice bang for your buck.
