Flashlights

I am using the Following at least as much as my pocket EDC. The headlight is by far the most useful at $14.99 it is a bargain. How many times do you NOT have the extra hand and find you are "mouthing" your flashlight? OR you are luck enogh to have a helper but He/She can not quite stay focused for more than 1 minute so your light isn't facing the right way?
This thing has Four(4) settings High/Med/Low and then "Devil Mode".

Cheap, Bright Magnetic - very useful $4.99

Again, small, incredibly bright, magnetic as well as pocketable - $4.99

Incredibly bright and useful, rechargeable via AC/DC or HDMI. Magnetic and has a hanger - Great light for $19.99

I have had piles of stuff like that over the years, Rubi. Never worry when it gets misplaced or broken...unless it's broken when needed, that is.

Hard to believe I went so many years without thinking to get a hands-free light source. Now, once used, it is a major Doh!

No more propping, falling, mouthing or cursing the dark AND you can aim it (obviously it goes where your eyes go) Convenient and keeps BOTH my hands Free for my RHK

This thread began as a hunt for an outstanding pocketable illumination tool...I'm honestly still looking.

But as we evolve the conversation into other lights...I'm sure many have headlamps and little magnetic based lights too...

My current EDC light. Tried a couple others, but the HDS Rotary seems to always end up back in my stuff.

Hi Guys!! I'm still breathing, believe it or not...

Rubi, LOVE that Omega - it's on my short list of watch wants...

Anyway, I just received a light that's been discussed a lil bit around here so I thought I would share some quick (and kind of crappy) pics..

^^^^^ Shane !!! It has been awhile......I hope all is well with you.......

Awesome light !!! The copper look is insane and the maker did a phenomenal job in the construction......
Mine is in the mail......stupid Canada Post......hopefully should be here Tues. / Wed.......

So what do you think of it.......???

Ross,

Doing well, work and home stuff keeping me busy and off the forums..

It is a pretty awesome light, I like it a LOT so far - having only had if for about 12 hours now.. It's a tank, the all Cu construction gives it a heft that I really like. Not everyone will like that though I think. It is noticeably heavier than the HDS rotary next to it. They both max out my reloading scale so I'll have to find another scale to get a good measurement. Subjectively, I'd guess 30% heavier.. But, I like my EDC items to have heft to them..

Light-wise, TMack picked a great neutral emitter that I really like. It's warmer when viewed side-by-side w/ the HDS beam. On high, the Cu is noticeably brighter than the HDS @ 250 but not super significantly so, again very subjective observation on my part.

Mine is programmed for 5 modes: low (almost candlelight), low-med, med, high, and strobe. The UI is stupid easy, took me all of 6-9 sec to figure it out - much more intuitive than the HDS clicky. The semi-recessed clicky button is a nice feature for me, I opted for the raised clicky on the HDS but have wished ever since that I went with the flush because I am constantly turning the thing on when I don't want too - lemme tell ya it heats up a pocket really well...

And, for the coup d'grace over the HDS rotary - it has a pocket clip :)
