Flashlights

Haha! Yes sir, my grin is as big as the skulls grin on my clip. Thank you for your help tracking that one down buddy and a big thanks to Brad for letting that one go. Once it's all set up proper I'll start a new thread so I can tell the whole story.

Starting early!

^^^^ Tony......I bet you get this a lot.......but I thought you'd be bigger.......

Love your shirt, though !!!

^^Have your emoticon put his tongue away. The "armoring" looks to have made an already hefty light a bit more bulky...but don't worry, wrapping the HDS won't cause it to overheat much sooner...the darn things automatically step down from their max output in record time.

The rubber armor is actually made for an older HDS Ra clicky. I've had it on there since right after I got the light and have had no overheating issues (so far) for the 4 months I've had it. I've spent more on lights, but none that I like as much as this one. One day, after I get a few more guns off the list, I'll invest in a Mcgizmo, but even if I don't, I'd be completely happy with this light carryin' me on over to the great beyond.

Flat lens oring and only a single joint making it totally waterproof. (4 hour test)

3.04a xml2 putting out right around 1000lm
3a xpg2 if more throw is needed, but will sacrifice beam width and overall lumen.
1x 16340 / cr123
Thick sidewall for super durability and thermal mass
Tailstand able
Headstand able with notched bezel for a low light application.
Modes can be set to a variety of preferences.
Low/high
Low /med /high
Moonlight /low /med /high
Low /med /high /strobe /sos
Tons of thermal mass for good runtime even at high power.
Aluminum /copper/brass body options, as well as very durable powder coat(in testing stages) , or anodizing (aluminum only)
Course knurling for good grip.
Only slightly larger than the pictured d25c in the top left, and a great weight (will have exact weight soon with complete internals and cell)
Stainless pocket clip
Mcclicky forward click switch.
Textured reflector for great beam profile.
AR coated lens for optimal light transmission
Super solid connections, and heavy Guage wire for good impact and thermal durability.

Really happy with these. Will be available very soon.

Nice Michael!! Quite the collection lights you have too...

Thanks Justin. All but the big one (Malkoff HD) get carried and used quite a bit. Have used it some, but get funny looks when I have it in my pocket. ;)

Nice Tmack!

I'm confused - I've looked over the pics and specs three times now, and still can't tell where the laser is. Still, Very nice!

(BTW, I showed your laser thread to a physicist friend, and his comment was "these don't look eye safe - these don't even look face safe - I've got to get one!")

Haha figured I'd try my hand at making some flashlights. These are getting some great attention over at cpf. I think they will be a nice change from what's been available for the last few years.

And he's absolutely right! When you've dropped the "m" in "mw" and are playing with lasers in the "watt(s)" range , I don't think any part of your body is safe :p

Huh....I wonder what thread and conversation inspired what brought that little guy into existence.:)

You want no B.S. feedback and evaluation on the prototype I bet we could do one uniquely qualified test team private pass around....just sayin'.

Haha. I'm sure you can tell which of my "bullets" came right from our emails.
That's not a bad idea. I'm sending one to a friend with a light sphere to get some power reading on lumen/lux, and hopefully I'll have a few more to play around with as little ambassadors to show the level of quality.

You mean YOU wouldn't sugar coat the review?? Naahhhhh. ;)

Multiple bullet points came from this thread and our e-mails. But the design is all your own.

And I would not sugar coat a gear review especially for a flashlight just look at my posts in this thread for evidence.
