Flea market finds

Couple of schrade finds today.

Monthly flea market happened last weekend. Here is what I came back with. Went on a fishing theme that day because they just kept popping up for so cheap. Spent $17 on the 3 piece kit (from different vendors). I'm big into fishing, so I got a real kick out of finding these pieces.

Imperial Fish knife, clamshell construction. Not really a fan of clamshell knives, but it spoke to me, and was in great shape.
My Buddy brand tackle box with nice blue paint on outside and inside. Some wear, but lots of paint still left.
Langly brand De-Liar mini fish scale and tape measure. Cool little gadget for near negligible price of $2. Had to have it. Green paint has wear on the back, but functions perfectly. Have not checked accuracy of the scale yet, but I need to.
...

Not sure why, but I love these old military "demo" knives. Found this older Kingston with brass liners yesterday. Still fully functional and ready for service after a cleaning and sharpening.

Thanks, 5KQs.
This is the one and only be-all and end-all. Except in jurisdictions where blades must be shorter than 3".

Bought a nice Camillus 14 Jack knife that was well taken care of by its owner for less than 10 bucks, a hard arkansas stone for free (1/2" square and 3 1/2" long), and bought a nice leather wallet for $2. The wallet has some Cyrillic stamped into it, which is neat, but I like that it's so tall.
The Camillus has great walk and talk, and a good edge on it already. No pitting to be found.

Absolutely love those mid-sized jacks and the Camillus #14 was the one that got me started down that road. Camillus #14, Schrade 33OT - 233 - 2331 - LTD, Uncle Henry 833UH, Sears Craftsman 95222, Ulster, Sabre Monarch, Imperial, Colonial, Case 6244 - 22087. I know there are more out there. Any jack that's 3¼" or 3-3/8" closed.

Good find. Good price. Congratulations.

A LOT of good stuff at the flea market today, too bad I didn't have any money.

Found these MINT Case Peanuts and a tiny stockman for, swallow your drink, $20! I don't know what a new peanut costs today but $20 sounded excellent for NOS from the 70s. Here's a pic.

The seller and I talked for a good 20 minutes about various knives he had. He had bad palsy and didn't know some makes because he couldn't read the tangs so I helped ID them. I don't know what this was, absolutely nothing on any tang and it didn't seem used enough to have worn it down. Quite nice bone, a pretty nice pull on all, no gaps, but not perfectly flush springs. What interested me was the extra liner on between secondaries and liner.

Pics with my Cuban for size.

Oh yeah I got a frontier jack with matchstrike pull on the clip. Im gonna grind it down into a sheepsfoot and put it in a small barlow frame potentially, ill need to do some in depth measurements and calculations to see if I can manage it anywhere, might have to reduce the size of the pivot on the tang to work.
Saw some never used imperial barlows that had celluloid gas rust that inspired me.

Another month down, and another trip to the flea market. This trip was particularly good for knives. Came back with a few that warrant mentioning.
Old Timer Muskrat
Old Timer Stockman 8OT (Walden)
Keen Kutter Jack in smooth white bone
Wostenholm & Son Sheffield Slicing knife 12" blade

This Keen Kutter Jack is very unusual to me. I have not seen this pattern before so it was curiosity that drew me in. Turned out to be in good condition with great walk and talk. Any info on this knife would be most appreciated.

Wow, love that Keen Kutter!

I saw this in a bin with 20-30 other "crappy" knives at a flea market and liked the shape of it. It was rusty and I could not budge the pen blade but I took a chance for $4. I needed pliers to open the pen blade for cleaning, now both blades open by hand. It still needs further cleaning and the walk to smooth out some, but it snaps now. I imagine that it is rosewood? The knife is 3-3/8" long closed, with steel liners and bolsters. I have never seen or heard of Miller Bros before, glad I picked it up.

Good looking knife.

Quite a pretty Jackknife! I like it a lot, one of those great finds. Miller Bros, in the tool world, made Yankee Screwdrivers. Although it was probably a different pair that made your knife.

Picked these up at an antique/junk store. KaBar 1013 and a advertising Barlow made in Japan... Seems to be good quality, but the only info is a B inside a circle and made in Japan circling around it. Has small scissors also. $7.00 each, thought I'd try it.

I was finally feeling well enough to get out of the house and do some yardwork. I did also get out to the flea market this morning, and had a pretty good haul.

The pearl is a Providence Cutlery Germany. The black scout knife is a sword brand Camillus. The Laguiole is neat, but needs new covers. The boker is my favorite of the bunch.
