Folding light sabers rule!!!!!

INFI FOLDER DEATH CHAT!!!!

If it's a light saber why would it need to fold? :p I'm good for Yoda's saber. Would replace my SHBM's. Great chopper. Bet I could boil up some water and start a fire with it too!

Oh really? Cool, I dunno why I thought S30V....I know I saw one or two with it and thought they all had it. I heard that's some good stuff....how do you like it?

I haven't had any problems with ZDP but then again, the edge is pretty stout. Makes for a great work knife if you're cutting a lot of soft fibrous medium....I don't know how it would do with harder stuff. The hardest I've done is 1/8'' plastic strapping on pallets.

I don't have one yet. 5 more months to go still. Gives me time to save! :)

Actually the edge on the zdp-189 blade chipped on one of those plastic straps. Not a big chip so I eventually just sharpened it out and have not had a problem since. It was a Kershaw Mini-Cyclone. Still a great knife.

No need to kill zombies, if the dead ever rise I'll just get everyone I know on Coronado: Then blow the bridge and hang out/get drunk until everyone else kills all the zombies or gets eaten. Then misson: repopulate the world begins ;)

INFI FOLDER DEATH CHAT LIVES!!!!!

Lets see it boss! After all, we can't carry our Busse's in big cities....or really even on our belt around town in CA :D give us something we can never be without....excepting the airport and courthouse ;)

Personally, I'm hoping for a THINFI slipjoint. A Busse slippie would be the coolest.

Something tells me I may be waiting for a while.

You're going to have to custom order one of those man.....the last person I knew to carry a slippie was my grandpa. I carry a case trapper sometimes, but it's only because it makes me think of my grandpa.....I have a locking knife for all practical uses. I'm still afraid after slicing the heck out of my finger when I was a kid carving my name into a tree (that happened to be in the middle of the school :p).

A SAK is a slipjoint- I bet you know some folks who carry those. :p:D I'm just sayin.

Oh man, you don't know what you're missing. Slippies have their uses- some of them are very, very nice. I've been doing some slicing tests, and a good, thin slippie will outslice any Busse I own or have ever seen. Some of my whittlers have X-acto-thin blades that slice like lightsabers. The only bad thing about slipjoints is that they're not particularly tough, and the steel's usually not too great. A Busse slipjoint would be tough, and would have great steel/ heat treat. And it would be purdy.

I might actually consider asking the custom shop to make me a replacement blade for a slipjoint. It wouldn't cost that much- since there wouldn't be a handle, a 3" blade might be fairly reasonable.

Very true, I've been known to carry one from time to time :D

I know they have their uses, but being a dummy: I like a dummy proof knife. In other words....one that's not going to turn around and bite me :p Plus they don't come with clips and I tend to loose anything in my pockets that's not my keys or a knife clipped to my pocket. Most of the time I wear my keys around my neck :p.

I like slips, I love my old SAK and my old Trapper, but I like a knife that I won't loose as easy and I can open and close with one hand. I carry most of my knives at work at some time or other even though I have my designated "work knife" and I need to have a free hand most of the time. Plus I'm wearing gloves. It's real nice to unclip my knife, flip it open, cut something, flip it closed and re-clip it. Like a Benchmade axis for example. Perfect setup for a work knife.

I like saks, but they don't have much practical application for me at least unless I'm just out and about on a weekend or if I had a really nice one as a dress knife.

That would be bad ass to have an INFI one though. My Case isn't made of the toughest stuff...the edge is pretty soft compared to what I'm used to. I can get that thing sharper than most of my other knives though. I polished it up to 3000 grit and keep it poppin on a strop.

I've been carrying one-hand folders with clips for many years. lately I've been carrying slippies, just for fun. I don't really miss the clip or the thumbstud much, most of the time.

I have found myself using my teeth to open stuff more often though. So maybe that's saying something.

Clearly, I need INFI teeth.

I learned my lesson when I chipped a tooth opening a beer bottle with my teeth. I guess they were only good for about 500 beers :p

It seems that I have seen a couple folder death chats over the past year or so.

Besides the comment on the patent application, has Jerry ever responded to anything about the folder? Has he ever responded to a death chat?

Depending on the design, I am in for an INFI Folder; it would have to be something I could EDC though, I'm not interested in a folder that I can't fit in my pocket...even if it is made out of super steel!

Jerry has said that there are folders in the hands of a few lucky HOGs who are testing them.
