Folders - What's in your pocket?

I never go any where with out my emerson a-100 special orange scale! its only one of 5 made in stone wash plain edge, but i use the crap out of it!

Spyderco Large Wayne Goddard. Picked it up used from BF, it's a pretty phenomenal blade. It has a big blade, over 3.5", yet a VERY thin, linerless FRN handle. The handle is actually thinner than my Centofante 4 handle, which is VERY thin. This can give it a bit blade forward balance, and some people think it feels cheap. But it's great. Also weighs 3.2 oz. Love it for a traveling bread/sandwich/lunch knife, as it's so light and thin, yet has a long enough blade to be decent for food prep.

I have been carrying my Spyderco Endura 4 Wave for years now. The handle is grippy but still easy on the pockets and the items in the pocket. Spare/replacement parts are available (you can't say that about many knives). There are about 10 million ways to open it. VG-10 steel is one of the least offensive stainless steels I have used.

If the flat grind was just a bit higher it would be the perfect folder. As it stands, it almost perfect. I just can't bring myself to carry anything else and it isn't for lack of trying.

Leatherman Sideclip, Spyderco Dragonfly G10 foliage green and Taberneck Pierre-Henri-Monnet ( but it's a neck knife ).

Neat POH. The Emergency Procdures are always the ones that have the most detail. :D

How long does you preflight take on a rotorcraft and what do you fly?

Today I am carrying a Lone Wolf T2 Harsey.

Today my umnumzaan. It's generally either that or my g10 scaled sebenza.

Kershaw Leek all black. It's perfect for cutting errant strings and opening boxes.

I'm in a T-34C so preflight doesn't take long. I'm hoping to stay fixed wing but if I end up going rotors, I'll get back to ya on that :)

Skeletool today supplementing my HEST.

I probably wont be carrying a HEST at all to be honest.. I prefer Spyderco folders and some Kershaw, so it varies from time and again which I'll carry..

In dress clothes for Church I use my Delica's exclusively, other then that I carry my HEST all the time, sometimes with a folder..

Didn't know they were still using the Beechcraft Mentor.

I don't know why I assumed you were rotor. I know the Marines fly both fixed and fling wing. A buddy of mine was in Marine A-4's when they were still in operation.

Guess you're hoping for the F/A-18 eventually?
