Folding Bushcraft Knife that is usable/comfortable - by Daniel Koster

Can a folding bushcraft knife compete with the fixed blade version?

So my girl is now on solid foods.
She had her first meal of cedar and pine. :D:D

I for one appreciate this. I couldn't decide on a leather sheath so I'm waiting to get the knife in my hand to decide.
I should mention that if you ordered a Bushcraft Folder with no sheath specified, I am still including a carry case because I don't want to ship it "loose" in a box. That's why you're seeing the black nylon cases. They're pretty tough and can be carried vertical/horizontal. Not as nice as the leather, of course, but an acceptable transportation case...similar to a leatherman. Enjoy!

Superfluities,

You could be right there, but than wood is the food that FUELS the fire. :D

For those interested in the performance review, the top stick started out the same size as the bottom one. Spent the evening by the fire with friends and just kept whittling at it, did it again the next night with a different log. Got home on Sunday cleaned her up and stropped her for a couple minute and she was as sharp as ever. 3V is a truly great steel. I did the same thing last year with my BM 162 bushcraft out of S30V and while she was easy to sharpen she didn't hold an edge like my Koster girl.

Going on vacation for two weeks in July will hopefully have more great pics to post after that.

I'm hoping to make it onto one of the lists for these, they look amazing!

Would it be possible to post some pictures of the kydex sheath options please?

House flooded on Fri, then again on Sat. Spent a good part of the weekend cleaning up, and then today digging for the sewer line.

Heckuva weekend. Can I take a nap now?

Dan

Helluva weekend - hope all is well now.

Flooding hit my neighborhood earlier this month - luckily I was not affected.

Good luck with the clean up.... and the nap.

still digging...but able to take a break to get some knives worked on.

Had to cancel summer vacation plans.... :(

bummer, pulled in wondering what that water running down the driveway was, had a toilet tank crack while I was out of town for a few days and it ran and ran trying to refill the tank. We opened the door and a wall of water poured out, learned not to keep those valued photo albums under the bed!(this was 40 tears ago no digital back up....negatives were down there too). I know you were sending my knife soon, no worry just send when you can.

I'm finally back in the shop kickin' it, guys. It has been a crazy 2 weeks of digging up my backyard, having 5 visits by plumbers and 3 by the city sewer folks. It's still not 100% but I am done with my part. :D

I feel like I took a 2 week vacation but I don't have any memories of it...

Hahahaha
