Follow up on my first small Seb. overly stiff action . . .

You should have just ordered some washers and done the repair work yourself... I think you understand that now..

One shipping.... CRK will ship indeed ship by USPS Priority Mail ... Priority mail is much faster and much cheaper than UPS ground...
$17.50 sounds about what the post office would charge CRK ...
 
It came back last monday from CRK. It took 4 weeks. 4th week was the 7 day ground delivery service. I still have 3 BM’s that are at the BM factory for 5 weeks now. All 3 of them came with blades off center and a grindy axis locks. And two were brand new. I’m not about to resell a blade here and have to list it as an off center blade. BM seems famous for this issue.

I did not want to lose the CRK for 4-6 weeks sending it back for service, I only had it in my hand for a few hours. but I had no choice. It was only born in Jan of this year!

CRK rep said it sounded to her like a pinched washer. She was right. Repair order that came back with the knife said spa service, two washers, cleaned and adjusted. I told them not to sharpen it.

Now that I had this small Seb a week its probably the one I like the least so far after purchasing 7 CRK’s and will probably resell it when I get ready to sell a handful of other knives.
Problem I’ve found is I have to buy one here first, in order to judge if its for me.
So I figured I’d start off with a quality production brand like BM. I like their designs and models, but the quality control isn’t there for me. So I decided on staying with CRK’s .... maybe keeping the Osborn and an assisted Emissary and selling the other 4. I have 6 BM’s and 3 are still at their repair shop. Thats a 50% repair ratio and thats why I’ve moved up to CRK.

My son has a large seb 21 gave him. Yesterday, I was showing him the small seb that came back and came out with opinion as too bad they don’t make a size in-between the large 21 the small 21! This was my opinion too after a week with it. I’ve read this or heard similar on a few youtube reviews.

I just happen to prefer bigger blades and a weightier knife style. I have 3 Mnandi’s, but they are a different animal!

So im betwixted and between to keep this small seb, but since I got it at a great price here for a 2 month old iconic CRK don’t know if I’ll part with it just yet. I don’t want to buy certain models if Im not going to carry them periodically. I’ve been watching youtube reviews on Inkosi’s . . . Now I’ll have to buy one of those try one :rolleyes:
