Somehow the word “fence” doesn’t do justice to what I’m seeing. Looks like something that could stop a herd of buffalo followed by a herd of elephants! We'd been moving the west side fence of our corrals over to the east about 20 ft. It was a BIG job and we had a good crew. This would open up another driveway for access to the property. Prior to that we had to haul saddles and tack back and forth from the tack room to the trailer. Now we have a circular drive kind of deal.

Now we can drive a truck and trailer and stop right in front of our tackroom to either load or unload. The original road was always there it just wasn't wide enough to accommodate a truck with a trailer. So we simply didn't use it. We've been here 15 years and finally got around to it.
The knife is just a bought blade (I don't do serrations), from a big knife makers supplier. I handled it in box elder to match the kitchen knives I have made Mrs Horsewright. Made a pretty good bread knife.
Looks fantastic, Dave. Nothing like completing a BIG project to your satisfaction after years of planning. Bravo to you and Mrs. H and your hardworking crew!
Thanks! Yeah it's stout that's for sure. The guy that built this place a few years before we bought it worked for the railroad. I think many of the ties might have fallen off the back of a truck or something. Oilfield pipe used to be given away around here. Not anymore, very popular for fencing and even stronger than the ties if welded well. The whole perimeter fence around the property is this railroad tie and oilfield pipe combo.

Yes sir we've been ticking the boxes off. The arena and now the drive. It's coming together. Eventually we want to replace that retaining wall that shows up in some of the pics. It was just never done right. Had to trim the cottonwood some too:
