We had billions of em when we had the ranch. We literally had two steel sports type lockers fill of em. Gave most of them away. From a practical point even the high carbon spikes don't really have enough carbon to make a good user. Much of the fencing on most ranches in this area incorporates a lot of railroad ties:If you ever need any railroad spikes, to make a knife or three, let me know.![]()

We're actually standing on one of those lockers looking over the fence. It had fallen over many many years ago.
