Food and Blades

Had some for lunch. With the grocery stores staying behind on stock, I ended up with Bar-S brand. Just like a lot of things, cheaper does not always mean better.

I'm digging the spydiechef! how is the action? Ball bearing or washers? Just curious because I've always wanted one but the action I've been told is a little stiff.
It's running on quite small phosphor bronze washers, as it should. Bearings would gum up too easily for cooking use.

The action is super smooth if oiled up. It'll drop open and closed once you take the lockbar tension off, with no blade play. I just rinse it under the sink after food prep, so the action isn't always Spydie Taichung quality after many uses in that case, but still better than most knives. I highly recommend picking one up!

Thanks!! I'll keep an eye out for one
