For all you Spyderco fans!

If you do this get Nike to pay you. I heard of companies paying people
to put their brand on their body. Ya never know...

Charlie Mike, you should get a couple of free 42s :D

I've narrowed it down to :

I bet some lamer wannabe network gaming mercenary prolly does have that Blackwater tat!

The free Strider for the Strider tat is a new one to me. And to think the Strider guys were at the Santa Barbarra show a year ago :(

In Belgium we had a girl not too long ago tattoo her face with stars!
tatoo-1.jpg

Originally she went in to have one tiny star tattoed somewhere but, strangely, she wound up with her entire face full of stars! Followed by a gigantic legal mess...

wasn't the story that she wanted 3 stars on her face but the (?)tatoeer(?)(Don't know correct spelling) understood that she wanted a 3 on her face in stars

At least that's what i picked up :D

It can always be worse... You could be cool as ice :D

Now that guy has serious "issues."

And a serious error. The "l" in Cool on his back wasn't capitalized like it is everywhere else on his work.

Red Forman says...

You might try and just send them an email with pics and see if they'll ship you one.

The Strider tat really doesn't look that bad if you don't know what it means. Neither does the Spyderco bug itself, as long as you don't tat "Spyderco" on yourself. (Edit: NOT a picture of me)

I actually have one on my chest... It was my first real commitment to being inked, I was 21 at the time. I started with the BM logo when I got to Ft Campbell in 2003, then I got some stuff on my lower arms before shipping out to Iraq. I now have a tattoo collection spanning both arms, what some people might call sleeves. I can cover all my work with a long sleeve shirt.

Enjoy your tattoo, regardless of what others might say.

The crossed butterfly knives is cool. But with the butterfly in there to,
It looks more like a tattoo a Butch lesbian would have.
LoL

That's less than $24,000/year before taxes, assuming you work full time....try living on that money....rent, utlilities, car.....doesn't go very far.

OMG, how many people are making $24k per year at freaking 18 years old!!!

Kohai, your panties seem WAY beyond bunched, to paraphrase someone's great avatar.

Sure some people probably judge people w/ tattoos but it sounds like he OP is not going for a corporate career. For what it's worth I DO work in a corporate environment and tattoos and piercings are increasingly common. Back when I was in high school it was incredibly out there for a guy to get his ear pierced, no one thinks twice about it now, around here at least.

But piercings can always be taken out and are not permanent. When I was a 19-20 year old college student I had five piercings in my ears, the three in lobes were gauged with the largest an 8 gauge, IIRC. But I could take them out when I wanted and now only very observant people would ever know my ears are/were pierced.

Tats are a different story. That's why mine is on my calf.

That would make a great tramp stamp for a girl knife nut!

The OP doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground, not too many 18 year old young adults do, and hopefully, they have some seasoned and wise adults around them to provide guidance....and his studiously affected "I don't care" has me buying it, oh yeah!

My good buddy CharlieMike who is dispensing with all the great wisdom has a GRIP of crappy looking tattoos, he is definitely someone who I would count on for solid tattoo advice...the Strider boys might be loving on him, but Les DeAsis is more likely to sue him for unlawful use of a corporate logo.

No bunching of my "panties" here...if you want to school someone, school Spyderc0, because he needs it...how old are you, HazMatt, 22?:D:thumbup::cool:

Nike pays me big bucks not to show a swoosh anywhere!

Good buddy STeven... I sure as hell do:D

But I look beyond the work. They tell a story and much like the knife hobby, with ink, you meet some cool ass people. I don't ever see myself having a Tattoo Savage worthy piece of ink in my life and am totally cool with it. To me it would be like owning a dagger logo Brend Nemi... I had it for 2 weeks and had to get rid of it because it was too nice and I couldn't rationalize owning it if I could never use or carry it. I know my ink will look worse and worse over the years, but that is something I will embrace with open arm when it happens. Like a well worn Buck 110, it will always beat a NIB safe queen because it has character.

My tats tell the story of my life and will age as I do.

Matt,

Some people own rat bikes or beater Hondas because that works for them, and I recognize that, but as a former full-time tattoo artist, and occasional current tattoo artist, I do the best job I can, and make it look nice when it is put on my client....how it winds up looking over time is entirely on them....don't even know how many publications I was in back in the day(a lot!), because that is not why I did it.

You are 100% right! It works for me.

One day, I'd like to get a tat from you. Not because you do world class work, but because you are cool mofo and every time I look at that piece, I'll be reminded of everything Kohai999.

Sure thing, man, maybe next year at Santa Barbara.
