I sent my crooked river in to get a blue backspacer and pivot collar, left my contact info to call id charge it when it was done. UPS just dropped this off, they did not charge for the parts or return shipping. It was also lubed and sharpened . I am blown away by this kind of service.Got to give them credit for this

I've never used Lifesharp or any other factory work but I've never heard any negative things. CR looks great BTW.

I don't think most ever questioned BM's customer service.

Most negativity lately has been based on political ideology questions and helping a local PD destroy firearms. I'll just leave it at that, and let anyone concerned do a forum search.

I have one BM, by the way, and love it. Never had to use their CS though, so I can't comment on that.

I own 6 BMs - 4 autos and 2 balis.

I sent my BM mini-Infidel in for a spa job through my local dealer. They did everything I asked. It wasn't free but they did an excellent job.

I have no problems w/the company whatsoever.

I don't own any Benchmades, never have. I'm a fixed blade guy, and aside from the Arvensis, theirs just don't do it for me. And the only folders I like are the Bedlam, the Rukus II, and the Crooked River. I only buy a knife on occasion, and it's usually an impulse buy. A Benchmade has never given me the impulse. Yet.

Benchmade makes good blades, no doubt about that. I just never really wanted one. Company politics, and my personal politics, aside, I have nothing bad to say about them. Personally, I don't much care for what they did, though I understand why they did it. But that's just a symptom of a bigger disease. It probably isn't a big enough deal in the overall scheme of things to keep me from buying one of their knives if the mood strikes me.

Great configuration on that Crooked River!

That looks fantastic with the blue!

I don't care a bit about the recent controversy surrounding them.

What I do care about is paying to send in two knives which had a small tick of vertical play (out of the box) and having them come back unchanged except for the pivots being adjusted way too tight to open properly and with one of them missing a part. And that time they sent me a $300 custom barrage that they straight up forgot to finish. And their occasional knives that won't center. And their occasionally horrible edges and primary grinds.

There are very real reasons not to be happy with them as a company.

All I read about BM service is praises:thumbsup::thumbsup: though I have never used it because all my 8 Benchmades are free of issues:thumbsup:

On a side note, ZT always has quick turnarounds but the service quality can vary.
