With over 75 products from Cold Steel I guess you could describe me as a fan. Nevertheless I'm disappointed that CS has drunk the kool-aid and is now using more expensive steel in their knives which will make no practical difference to the vast majority of buyers but will ,of course, cost more.
I guess they finally caved to the chorus of " if only CS used better steel blah blah blah"
If the entire Recon line is getting the upgrade then I'm interested. I just don't have a use for 9.5 inch knife I much prefer smaller blades so if the mini recon gets it then I'll get one fore sure.
I entirely agree. I would buy it.They ought to run the Trailmaster in 3V at 58 or 60Rc... that would be sweet.
This looks really interesting, but I'm a bit trepidatious about the comfort of the handle.
You could add more handle material, and it would still be an extremely strong design.
It might be coming, but the XHP Ultimate Hunter looks pretty close.
There's an optical illusion going on for me with this knife. Sometimes I look at it, and it appears to have raised "scales" on the handle, while other times the handle looks concave, sort of like an I beam. I can't decide which view is correct.![]()
