For those that don't frequent the Cold Steel forum...

:eek:Hold the BLEEPING phone!!!!

A master hunter in 3V!?!?!?

YAAAAAAASSSS:thumbup:

And it looks like the street price will be somewhat reasonable as well. I MUST have one....

I must have overlooked that... I very much like their Hunter line, I had a Pendleton and a Pendleton Mini at one time. It might be time to try out the Master.

I really like the look of Cold Steel's new Talon II , but with the new steel, the Talon will cost more than Spyderco's new premium all black waved Matriarch and of course more than all the older versions of the Matriarch. So I want to buy a Cold Steel folder but I may have to "settle" for Spyderco's version of the knife....ironic isn't it?

The Matriarch is a smaller version of the Spyderco Civilian. Look at the blade size, Black Talon 2 has the larger Civilian sized blade . And assuming street price of $120-130 or so, it'll be cheaper than the Spydie.

Nice. Hopefully they'll also start offering some different handle types for the "classic" folders; like a Spartan, Talwar and Recon with polished G10 and bolsters, like the Espada series.

There's an optical illusion going on for me with this knife. Sometimes I look at it, and it appears to have raised "scales" on the handle, while other times the handle looks concave, sort of like an I beam. I can't decide which view is correct.:D

It's an indent in the handle. A trough

This looks tempting.....I will have to contemplate purchasing one. I just purchased a Recon 1 and have left it open for weeks it but it is still almost impossible to close. Pretty disappointing, but boy I like the idea of a higher end steel on what I think are sharp (no pun) looking knives.

I'm pleased and surprised by the steel upgrades. I hope it works out for them.

Just when I thought I was done getting new knives after bustroying my elcheapo crap...

We're still updating the site with new items. this will probably continue into next week.
2015 is going to be BIG!

Yep, they've announced the Espada lineup getting the XHP treatment(both the G10 version and the nicer version with the aluminum bolsters), a polymer staff(maybe not much interest here, but on the CS forum there were a lot of people requesting that last year), and a line of...sunglasses?

Protective eyewear seemed like a very natural progression for us. It's something we've been exploring for a long time.
Since day one we've always been all about safety.
At our HQ, our facilities, our warehouses, our training facility and our shooting range eye protection is mandatory.
Lynn always says "hands and eyes" - and we aim to protect both of those things as much as possible in our dangerous profession.
We've also got a lot of fans, friends and customers who are in the military or law enforcement who've been asking for this for a long time. I'm glad we could finally make it happen

"does it really weight 9.2 ounces ?"
Judging as it's essentially a Demko mid-tech and his knives are about the heaviest tanks out there, probably?

The prototype weighed that much for sure. It's a beast
My favorite knife of the year. I completely fell in love with this blade

I have a feeling it will be a lot of so called knife-nuts first Cold Steel
