for winter, what Buck ya carrying and how cold is it...

I believe Ice (up to 4"!!!) is going to be the biggest problem this weekend..

Hope all my Buck brothers are getting ready for the big storm that is going to affect the eastern half of the US,

Cold front coming thru later tonight. Bitterly cold. High of 4* tomorrow, wind chill -30 or more. Some snow is expected but not heavy snow. The picture of the Cat dozers was taken from my driveway just north of the house a few years back. We had quite the blizzard and were snowed in for a week.

The tractors are full of winter diesel, the propane tanks are full, and our free standing Lopi gas stove is ready to go I’m case we lose power.

Been carrying a 112 auto instead of a 112 manual for a short time, and finding it unexpectedly practical. Easier to open than my manual 112 with really thick winter insulated snow gloves on, and still easier to unlock and close than my Sebenza frame locks wearing the same. Was cutting some 550 cord this morning to re-secure some outdoor things from the wind, and didn't need to expose my fingers to the -20 windchill. Nice!

46f and sunny here right now, like the calm before the ice storm.
