Seems cold for FLIn Central Florida it's gonna be 27 this morning.. I'll have a pair of 112's on my desk and I'll stay inside to keep them company..
I have a brother who lives on the east Coast of FL, one that lives on the West Coast, and our one son has a house in Lakeland. We visit occasionally, usually in the Winter. The temp can be in the teens or single digits when we leave PA, and we're fine, but if it gets down into the 40s when we're in FL, we're freezing. We used to go to Daytona every year for Bike Week. Here's a pic of my wife & I all bundled up, hogging down BBQ in Daytona one day, and a couple days later, we were on the beach. When it's even in the 30's TV news gets all excited warning folks to keep there pets and plants safe.. But the biggest problem is freezing pipes. For many decades building codes... even in northern Florida.. were not considered safe for cold/freezing weather and many homes suffer damage in a bad cold snap. Back in the early 80's it got to 17 degrees ( 90 miles west of Daytona) and stayed below freezing for over 12 hours.. Extreme 'Hard' freeze for here. You could NOT get a plumber for weeks..or free estimates lol!
