for winter, what Buck ya carrying and how cold is it...

It’s finally cooling down here. Last week we were in the mid 60s - 75 degrees f. Today's high was 42 and this Saturday is forcast to be 30 with overnight low at 5. It’s also been very dry almost 4 months since the last measurable moisture. And very windy !

The last two weeks I’ve been carrying my large Vantage pro botm and I’m very happy with it. I have so many nice knives now it’s getting harder to choose one to carry. View attachment 1709946
I really like that knife as well and have jbmonkey to thank for snagging one.

The windchill chart says that it feels like -51°F this morning and I believe it. Carrying this 110 on my belt and packing the 893 in my bag for the journey into the boonies today.

wow.....ya got a grizzly bear fur jacket on to survive that kinda cold. stay in the igloo today...to cold to go outside.😁

Last few days here in Ocala Florida high 70's low 80's..I just couldn't live up North where it really gets cold. Snowbirds have the right idea! My sister Karen up north of Boston is retiring here next year. We have plenty of room lol! I'm still using a 110 LT..

Jealous of you guys down south. Carolinas sound good to me as well as FL. Home prices up here are averaging $475,000. Figure I could sell and buy a condo down south for around $300,000 or a bit more and still have fun money for a new Challenger and a Benchmade knife!! LOL Wish one of my kids would relocate to a decent state. Know my wife would love to be near their kids.

Building costs are about the same everywhere but land prices in rural Florida are low..What a surprising number of folks are doing here is buying a 3 to 10 acre lot in a nice area with a well and septic then putting a big 5th wheel trailer for living space. Maybe build a big barn or garage for storage. Plant some trees and put in a garden and live like Kings..
