Forged In Fire

Disclaimer: I am on this season in an upcoming episode and while I can't talk about much, I can let you know that at some point during filming I made a drawing for Doug of him as a cartoon saying "IT WILL KEEL!" and everyone loved it so I'm sure he would love a shirt like that.

The challenges are getting a bit ridiculous. What next, take away the anvil and hammer? Here's a bedspring, some matches, and a rock; you have four hours. We'll test your knives by jack hammering up a NY sidewalk then launching into the sun. Good luck.

LOLOL!

Don't give them any ideas.

Heck, I'd watch that.

Eat wheel keel. The entertaining value of the light hearted aspect of shop disasters.

Ilya is on a youtube series called man at arms. He helps put out some very interesting pieces. The man knows his stuff

I really enjoy the show, but im kinda tired of the make a billet out of junk routine would rather see them give them good metal to start.

I actually enjoy seeing the "make it outta junk" routine. Especially last night as it was fun to think "what part of the car would I try?" and then see it happen. Last nights episode was one of my favorites!

Knife portion was fantastic. Bummer about Morgan's weapon. Travis did nice work and I like his attitude.

I to enjoy the make it with what you're given routine....Last nite was my favorite...The young guys were really
doing so good work....I just hate Morgans sword wasn't up to par.....I think he'd knock it outta the park given another
chance to try it......Knowing what he knows now....And Travis was well deserved winner...I agree, his attitude was the
best....He had a smile on his face nearly the whole time it seemed....Congrats to all, especially Travis and his B2daB Sword.
..I thought they all 4 done really great in their first round....

Awesome episode. Travis KILLED it and made it look easy.

That's saying a lot considering I think the other three guys could have won some of the weaker episodes.

best episode yet! best round one submissions, to my memory, and Travis was a hoot to watch!
can't wait for Burt Fosters episode :D

It's kind of like the cooking shows where they are given a basket full of weird garbage and are expected to please the douchey judges.

Without the douchey judges...and by garbage you mean really good ingredients that might take a little longer to prepare or make presentable...and much more fun to watch than any cooking show LOL

As a lay person who has zero artistic ability, it amazes me what you knife makers/artists are able to do with fire, metal and sweat.

I enjoyed the last show too, nice comeback Travis

Also looking forward to see Burt on the 29th.

Did anyone else see the promo for a new blacksmithing show? I believe it was called "Iron and Fire", and starts in April?

Or was I just imagining it?

Also, first time poster... But I've been aspiring the last 6 months or so to get into smithing... You guys on here are very helpful in gaining knowledge on how to start out. Thanks!
