fort turner is a scam

So sorry Ladams......the only thing you are guilty of is being a trusting and honest person. It's a shame you are not dealing with one.
Dana Turner, owner of Nocturnal Knives, is nothing but a lying thief.
Joe

This is new, but is it merely a typo?

Typo Tom! Must've typed nocturnal 100 times recently.......I got stuck!!
I fixed it......thanks!
Joe

Still nothing on this. Now he is back to ignoring my emails. He sent me the tracking on Feb 28 but never shipped. Talked with him and he said he is having back trouble. He is still taking orders though. Not sure if anyone else is getting their orders. He is not happy with me because I am raising awareness of his shipping issues. I have no information as to what kind of quality he has. I told him I would cease all informative activities once I get my order. Now I have been waiting again after being promised a week shipping. Now its time to get busy again flooding the internet with Fort Turner BBB information. Just telling the truth. I hope he is reading this because I am going to post his BBB record in every place I can find until I get my order.

Website, May 27, 2016:
To our valued customers - April 2014: Recent order volume has resulted in an unexpected production backlog. We're working as quickly as possible to fill orders, but because our products are all handcrafted right here at Fort Turner to the highest possible standards, delivery at this time is about 8 weeks out. We generally strive to provide much faster service, and will update our situation as things change. Thank you sincerely for your support and your patience.

His "lips are moving" again.

He has shipped orders since I placed mine a couple of years ago. He does not like me because I chose to not set quietly and do nothing. While on a phone call to him, he told me personally that he does not like me. It seems the endless BBB reports and complaints I sent him went no where, so I started an internet campaign of letting people know about his business practices. He told me I was hurting his business, I told him that he is hurting his business by not shipping in a reasonable time and not communicating with his customers. So I will continue my campaign of information distribution.

Ladams19, you seem to be a very reasonable and patient man. Dana Turner, the owner of Fort Turner, www.fortturner.com, is the one damaging his own business. Dana Turner has lied to you multiple times, and his BBB record and a cursory internet search show that you are far from the only customer from which he has taken money and not provided product.

Unfortunately the BBB is just a business that is more interested in signing up new customers to pay their fee's. They have done a pretty good wash (pr) job over the years making people think they have clout and can help people in unfortunate situations. In fact I still know people that think they are a government agency, uh, yeah, right. But the company has only one value that I can think of, and that is if dozens/hundreds of claims land on any one particular entity, maybe that information alone may deter future sales from those very few buyers proactive enough to look them up and read the complaints.....before transacting.

But the BBB rating system only applies to the companies dumb enough to pay the fee's for it. And here's how "issues" are resolved with the BBB. A complaint is made by a customer. The BBB uses that info to strong-arm market to the company in question, in hopes of them signing up with a payment plan to the BBB to help resolve the issue. But (and this is the biggest butt of the BBB) any response from dealer in question, with or without resolution, satisfies the requirements of the BBB. Sure, if the BBB can get some money out of it, that's great for them. But any response with any reason by the defending company as to why they will or will not comply to the demands of the customer, or the BBB, is considered a closed case. Resolution or not. My company paid the BBB ransom money for a number of years just so we could advertise our "A" rating online. But the process is the same for member companies or non alike. And that is absolutely nothing.

Someone complains about my company...BBB sends that entity a letter with both theirs and customer demands....company return a letter with why they will or will not comply....BBB marks the issue as closed.

So in the end, the more places stories can be placed about poor companies to work with, (whether BBB, Yelp, etc.), the better chance of a future unsuspecting customer may find it. Unfortunately just not an end-all to resolution.

Why have you not taken him to small claims court? Don't you want your money back? It's obvious you are not getting your order.

Any updated news?

Nothing from him. He promised too many times to ship this out. I have already started to post his bad business practices everywhere I can find to post it. If he refuses to ship my order I am going to make every person possible knows about his business and his business practices. I am informing people of his lack of willingness to ship my order as well as his record with the Better Business Bureau. I am also monitoring his business to ensure there is no new names being put out there. I will find that too. I hope he understands how much this is going to cost him in the future, hope it was worth it all. Knowledge is power and I am going to make sure everyone has knowledge of him.

Don't quit Ladams! These heartless thieves just hope you shut up and go away. DON'T!!
Hang in there my friend, you have a lot of support here.

Thank you I appreciate it. I would have forgotten it by now had it not been for you all. You all keep me going on it. Thank you again and I appreciate all that you all have done.

Oh yes of course. I doubt he is ever going to fulfill the order. I doubt anything I hear from that man at this point. I only hope others will read this and consider the implications before purchasing from his. I would rather spend my time and effort ensuring I let every single person know of his reputation because at this point, I doubt I will ever get my order. Also his threats for a law suit on me via Facebook never came to fruition. I was not the one that had the Facebook page on him. I just commented on the page. He seems to think I was the person that made a Facebook page. Although at this point, I am thinking of making a new one informing people of his business practices. Information only, there is nothing wrong with that.

I will join any effort to get this guy to either stop selling on the Internet, actually send his orders out, have is property siezed, what ever. I'm a little late in discovering this post. I ordered a hawk from him early last year and, you guessed it, I've got nothing but the run around since then.

Has anyone gotten their issues resolved?
