fort turner is a scam

No nothing yet on this. I have been traveling. I just checked the tracking number he sent and there is no action on it. Still shows being created but no actions on it. So he has not taken any action on it other than making the label. He told me it would be shipping out early last month. I still have hope to get these soon.
 
Ladams19 -- feel your pain, although I haven't had it as bad as you. I placed an order for 3 Hawks and handles back in September. I needed them completed by November for a 3 Gun competition I was organizing where I wanted to start the stage with a tomahawk throw. One of the hawks was supposed to be the trophy for the match and the other 2 were to be used as the throwing hawks. I was assured by Dana it wouldn't be a problem. From the beginning he was very helpful and a pleasure to talk with. I had no experience throwing hawks and appreciated his advice and guidance. With that said, as the match date approached with no hawks, I had to continue to hound him. I ended up obtaining backup hawks, but was looking forward to the at least the trophy hawk to be delivered. He did end up sending me the one hawk which arrived the day before the match. He had explained that he had a pneumonia and was down and out. But as he got me the one hawk just in time, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. But that is where the difficulties began. He kept saying every week that he was sending the other 2 hawks out but he never did. It's crazy, he seemed like a nice guy on the phone. I was trying to be patient because he is a one man operation, but this morning I started searching for reviews on Fort Turner and came across this forum. I called my credit card company and disputed the charge for the 2 hawks I didn't receive. I was lucky that I was still within the window to dispute the charges. His hawks are nice, really nice in fact and frankly I would be happy if he just sent mine out, but with all this uncertainty I'm glad to have my money back.

It seems like Dana Turner, the owner of Fort Turner, www.fortturner.com, is really doing this as a scam. Regardless of the fact that "his hawks are nice, really nice in fact" and that he occasionally ships one here or there, Dana has still taken a lot of peoples money and not provided them with products. To me, that seems a lot like theft.

This thread has over 15000 views and is now the #2 result on Google search for Fort Turner. Hi Dana. A lot of people now know your true character and the nature of your "business."

What's your definition of soon? You placed your order in Sept. 2013, again take him to court or accept the fact you are out over $300.00 of your hard earned money.

Any updates? Does Dana Turner, the owner of Fort Turner, www.fortturner.com, still have the money you gave him in 2013? Are you still waiting for the product he was supposed to provide YEARS ago?
 
I contacted him last week and he said he was down again with his back. Supposed to be going out this week is what he said. I will surely post updates once they are in hand. I hope this will come to fruition and just not be another stall tactic. I am wanting to get them in hand before summer. They will put to use.
 
Man you're very patient. And have been very civil. If it were me the goal would be a refund. I wouldn't trust any product made by him or even open a package from him.

I have laid off the negativity thinking it was going out. I am thinking I am going to have to get back on my crusade soon. I really don't know what to think on this. I talk with him and he tells me that is working on it. yes and all the while he is still taking orders and it shows the same shipping times. I am wondering if other people are getting their orders at all?

You placed the order almost 3 years ago, he has had your money for almost three years. Does that not seem like theft to you?
 
Clearly this guy has no class or pride in his name. The best outcome is that his reputation has been ruined by himself, and no one else will get suckered into giving him even a penny.

Dana Turner, the owner of Fort Turner, www.fortturner.com, is an outright liar and scam artist. He could write a book of excuses thicker than a dictionary.

I'm really hoping Ladams gets what he paid for years ago. I'm in a similar situation, with paying for the 2014 NKCA knife 2 1/2 years ago, and being told it was going to be sent out soon. Then they went out of business, and kept all the preordered money from all the members (nearly $30,000) and the knives were never made. What a shame.

No, still nothing. I have sent him several emails and he has not answered them. I am thinking that this is not going to happen. I honestly had faith in him that he was going to get this done. After our conversation I felt bad for his situation and was hoping that he was in the process of ending this. I am almost starting to believe I am being taken as a sucker. I guess my campaign needs to start again. I have laid off of all the informational stuff about Fort Turner I have posted. I am not posting negativity, I am posting the facts. I am posting that people should refer to the Better Business Bureau in order to understand the issues they may face if they order from him. So with no replies from him in a few weeks I will start again on my campaign. I am sure this will certainly ensure I will never get my order. The whole part that bothers me in this is he told me personally how we was going to get this done. He even offered a few free items in compensation for the wait. I see now this is more than likely a farce. He makes not attempts to communicate at all. It is mostly silence on his part. I will continue to contact every authority possible until some action is taken. At the very least I will hopefully educate enough people to make him take notice.
 
So sorry Ladams......the only thing you are guilty of is being a trusting and honest person. It's a shame you are not dealing with one.
