Fort Turner pics please

I did get a reply after I emailed again and stated that I am about to cancel the order. Dana did say that mine would ship "shortly."

Well I asked him to clarify the "shortly" and if I don't hear from him or he doesn't stick to his date, I am canceling the order. I would think it's really a professional courtesy to at least keep your customers informed or even state that you can't complete the order due to whatever reason for X amount of the time.

We shall see.

Just got my H&B Forge Seneca. Waited 3 weeks, rather than my 7 months. It's awesome, and shipped like lightning. I'd assert it's better quality than what I ordered from FT, and cheaper.
Too many other good businesses to put up with this kind of treatment coming out of FT.

I'm noticing the trend here.
Message to anyone thinking about Fort Turner: Don't. Too many of us got raw deals here to make it a smart investment. For now, it needs to go to the Good, Bad, and Ugly.

I got the same email from him when I asked, and did the same thing. In my case, he never responded or stuck to his date. I'd go ahead and cancel it.

Just sayin' guys... look what already got here! H&B Seneca.
Also sorry for crappy camera quality.

Aw man you guys are killing me that's a sweet hawk congratulations how's it working out for you? Digging the pipe and the knife.

I had H&B make me this Viking axe at a time they told me they were really busy with other orders.

Still got it in less than a month.

That's TWO entirely custom pieces from H&B and I still haven't got my hawk from FT.

This Friday will mark week #27 of my wait from FT. If I get it or not, I am DONE with Fort Turner.

That looks AWESOME Wolf! Nice design! I may have to get me one of those someday!

I based it off the famous Mammen Axe from Denmark. Of course mine doesn't have all the impressive silver inlays like the original, but I really dig the plain brutal grace of it.

Probably the best thrower I've ever had.

Currently four.

I have one of their old pattern Viking axes from about 2002 or so, a custom spiked spontoon tomahawk, a viking axe from another site, and my mammen Viking axe.

If the government collapses or whatever, the mammen will be my top pick. I dearly love that thing.

I've been waiting a year this month. I've given Turner a week to reply and one last month to complete the hawk. If not, I'll open a dispute with Visa.

SS,
I guess you got me beat.. I ordered a Ranger Hawk on 12/13/12. I was told about 8 weeks. Not real good communication since my "completion" date, just excuses. Finally I contacted him on Sept 1 and told him if he didn't answer me I would go to " the BBB, Post Office, and your State Attorney Generals Office". He answered on the 10th with " Hi Mike , I apologize for the wait , been having medical problems but working away , slowed me way down & with being behind has really made things difficult , I’ll pull your order to ship shortly , Thank you for your patience , Dana." I have the letters written. They go out October 1st if my hawk isn't here. 7 months overdue is just too long for me. mike

Echo 7 and SS have you or any body got any thing from Dana, I have been in the dark sense June, my 2 H&B hawks have been getting a work out.

My Buck tomahawk order. Dana called me today and will ship my order next week, he is still having issues with his back, I know what that is like. He told me he is a one man show and trying his best to catch up with all of his orders and is looking for a trainee, but people now days don't like working in front of a hot dirty coal forge. I know the wait will be worth it. He has made hawks for over 10 years he must be doing something right.

That's all well and good, and the quality of his work has never been in question. The problem stems from promising customers ordered items, failing to deliver, keeping the prepaid $, and NEVER informing anyone about excessive delays in production/shipping. Taking people's hard-earned money and disappearing is inexcusable. Instead of looking for a trainee, he should start communicating with customers he's ripped off and try his darndest to repair the bridges he's burned before more ill-will is sown.

Just because he said you will get your hawk next week means nothing let us know when you have it in your hand. Guys here have been waiting a lot longer than June.

I wish I had read this before I ordered (and paid) for a RR hawk. I just felt weird about paying the entire price for the hawk up front. I've never had a maker ask me to pay up front. A deposit, sure! But not full price. I asked him how long it would take to ship before I paid. He said "8 weeks." Lol.. Good grief!!
