It isn't the work of creating a design, it is seeking the approval of a group....hate that....if it was up to me, the knife would have a Queen tang stamp and "2009" bolster stamp...but the group voted another way, which is fine.

If I do the bolster stamp, have to prepare at least 3-4 designs and listen to a bunch of crying, which I am just about fed up with. That said, if no one else steps up in about 2-3 days, I'll do it, just to get it done.

Box and payment will go out this week. My only preference is for "2009" instead of "MMIX". Everything else is left to those voters more well versed in traditional knives.

I think it looks good in design but the proportions look off. I dont think it will fit on the bolster properly without significantly reducing the relative size of the year and moving it closer to the BFC logo. I'd say that the width of the year should not be much more than the height of the B.

Darn. ;) I noticed right after I posted that "2009" was way behind "MMIX". Either way it'll be a nice knife.

Shrink it to about 30% of what you have up there now.

The bolster is about 1/2" -3/4" long as far as I can figure. What looks large at 1 1/2" looks much smaller at half that size.
