Forum Knife Updates and comments

So my forum knife was scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I checked the tracking number this morning and it was updated to deliver today! Well I just checked my mailbox and there it was. I quickly brought it in the house and opened her up. But sadly, my excitement turned into disappointment. I thought maybe I could send it back and when the knife returns everything will work out. Nope, that won’t work, I already received the knife. I had to accept the fact that I am officially out of the “last knife” competition.

So I took the Yellow Buck box out of the USPS box and opened that up. It was at that point where I no longer cared about that silly competition.;)

skblades skblades Great job and thank you for putting this together! This knife is going to be put to use today! But...what happened to my serrated blades?

Mine Just Arrived!!!! :D

In a word ... FANTASTIC! STUPENDOUS! AMAZING! UNBELIEVABLE! WOW!!!

No noticable gaps with the naked eye, blades are centered and sharper than my ex's tongue.
Elk is well matched side to side.
I'd guess the pulls on both blades are around a 5.5 to maybe a 5.8. They feel about the same as what my 371's have; just a little stiffer than my standard 301.

A happy camper here. :D

Thanks to SK Blades, Buck, and everyone else who had a hand in this.

Thank you to everyone involved! I received a great example. Very nice walk and talk on mine right out of the box. I would compare the pull to the Churchill, but slightly stronger. I have a minor gap that doesn't bother me. Overall I am very pleased with this knife and can't wait to start using it.

Got mine today! :) nice knobby scales, well matched. Sharp enough to use out of the box, sheepsfoot nice and tight, clip has a tiny insignificant amount of side to side to side play. Springs flush opened and closed, good snap, typical Buck pulls for their slip joint offerings. Thanks BF, thanks skblades skblades , and thanks Buck Knives. This one will make a nice Sunday carry knife. Very pleased here in North Cackalackie.:cool:

Just received. In a word...Spectacular! It feels, looks, and act like a Custom. The Elk Covers are different on both sides, but with awesome character. Lacking a caliper, I don’t have the ultra critical view that some have.:) In hand, it feels like someone described as a “working knife.” I am grateful for both the patience and hard work of Stephen, as well as the skill of Buck’s Custom Shop. I have never considered acquiring any Bucks. This has changed my view completely. Kudos. A Happy and Safe Holiday to all. Lest I forget, thank you also to ”Anonymous” for the page. It was the cherry on top.

This is the best one yet!! If mine is 70% as nice, I will be ecstatic!

Good eyes Rick and good ears icky, it is my 704 and she is VERY sharp indeed :)

Spent the better part of the time so far since unpacking putting an edge on the sheepsfoot, the steel seems to have pretty good heat treat, as you would expect, going to take a break before I work on the clip...
