Nothing crazy here, I was detailing up the ride when I joined. So not thinking this would be such long term lol. I figured what the heck and just posted duramax, who knew lol.

Well umm its been my online gaming handle since 2004, I'm heavily into PC shooting games like Counterstrike and Battlefield. I'm not really sure how or why. Except one night I was munching on some yummy oreo's and the bag ran out. Also I liked Cookie monster when growing up as a kid.
 
It reflects my taste in fine wine, cooking, sharp things, some level of sartorial elegance, and a solid understanding of anatomy :D
 
Being the black sheep of the family, (I know, right? :rolleyes: ) due to my thoughts spoken openly at family gatherings, I developed my nickname over the three+ decades of my existence on this plane. My name is not Timmy or Tim or Tom even. Go figure.

It's good to know though, that family will sit and listen to whatever crazy thing has newly planted a seed in my head and just nod and say "interesting..."

This can make Thanksgivings and Christmases very very much more fun for me.
 
My first foray into discussion groups was on a popular traditional archery forum. Since I enjoy/ed flinging sticks at rotting stumps year round with longbows and recurves, "Stump Buster" seemed appropriate.:thumbup:

Was the name of my business when I had my FFL, refers to the aggregate score in a high power rifle match and the idea that my business had a mixture of things for sale.

Gotta have a unique handle right?!
 
My posting name at Scrap Yard and some other forums is Private Klink. When I was in Marine boot camp Hogan's Heroes was still popular on television, and Colonel Klink was the commandant. My Ssgt. Drill Instructor thought my last name was close enough to Colonel Klink, but he certainly wasn't going to call Me Colonel, hence Private Klink.:D

I'm a professor, I teach and write about the classics all the way up through contemporary thought... Aias (Latinized: Ajax) is my favorite hero from the Iliad. In the Iliad and in Sophocles' play "Aias," the man fights without/ refuses divine help, maintains his character even in retreat, and is a ancient symbol of heroic virtue in a tragic world. Now, I can't claim that I am such a man too... but damn, I am trying to live up to that beautiful ideal.
