Did you really throw out the lot of this stuff, because "you had no room to keep it???"
Even if some memory of your grandfather mean nothing to you, imagine someone throwing possibly about $2000, just because he had no space in his wallet...
And I give you some advice: After all you did, never go even close to some re-enactors group. And never tell anyone what you just did.
Some guys are passionate and you maybe in serious trouble.
But fair enough, you had some of us going for a bit.
NO M1 GARANDS WERE HAMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS PRANK
When you get your butchered Garand back together into firing condition, load it, aim it at your nut-sack and pull the trigger. Must've been too much lead in your drinking water.:grumpy:
NO M1 GARANDS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS PRANK
i own 9 m1 garands including a NM springfield, 2 HRs and 2 winchesters, a whole slew of 03s, 03a3s and carbines. the gun pictured is actually 3 guns, the first "found" gun is a H@R. the reciever picture of course is one of my winchester garands, and the "sanded garand" is a ww2 era springfield with a bad barrel. its a wall hanger that i made from spair junk parts.
we had this idea after one of my correct HRs blew up at the range on saturday, as far as we can tell the round was double loaded. ive had the reciever checked and the gun is now setting in a new stock good as new. the stock and forward hand guard were a total loss how ever, that was alittle bit of a pain because that was one of the rare offcenter HR stocks that were put on a few of them before the supplyer lost there contract, ive seen worse condition counterparts sell on gunbroker for 500+. the stock was cracked from the front to the back. infact the only thing holding the gun togeather when we cut the stock was the front band, we had to do a repair with elmers school glue. i almost posted the first picture, that would have toasted me right off the bat. and before any one gets the atf down my neck the gun was 10 inches longer than national and state law AND the stock was destroyed after the pictures were taken.
BTW, the pictures and uniform belonged to my great uncle who sadly passed away about a month before my birthday.
the ww2 fourm did not like me to much. luckly there was not to much traffic on that site i KNOW some of them would have killed me
I predict this thread will continue to get outraged posts long into the future, from people who only read the first few posts before they feel moved to respond....![]()

Good prank but, I see posts of guys said this was a prank and a joke on the first page... They busted the troll quite quick I think...
But why a knife board? Why not post your nonsense over at TFL or THR?i nearly got caught a few times, the wall hanger has a ww2 trigger guard. i dont know WHY but i did not swap out the trigger guards when i took the first picture of the garand on the bed so i HAD to use a korean war stamped unit. i had to retake every single photo of the hacked gun because i had the wrong trigger guard in the gun.
another time i was nearly caught was because i installed a lockbar on the HR and posted its picture on the bed. i had to run in to the other room, flip the gun over, and take the picture again before any one noticed.
after all that i forgot to delete the mistakes from my putfile account and had to delete those several hours after the fact.
i was thinking about letting it go on longer but i like this forum and dont feel like getting banned. yall would not have liked what i was thinking about doing with a pair of colt 1911s and ww1 (ww2 recut) bayos for the garand.
