Bah, Don't listen to the few, the many love giveaways and they provide more good feedback than bad.

Plus it gives knife addicts like myself something to look forward and moon about for a few weeks!

My .02 - its a pretty substantial giveaway, I think they deserve the publicity generated by the thread / emails. If you don't want to be involved, its easy - ignore the thread and don't sign up.
 
I say if people have an issue with how the giveway is being ran then they can simply choose not to participate. If they had been called the winner I am sure they would have no beef with how it was conducted. Sure the giveway is for some publicity. But the prizes are far from anything to scoff at. You guys have just given away a very desirable knife. I still see it as very generous. My opinion.

ETA: I think I have received maybe an email a week? Far from what I consider spam, and after all I did put my email address in there.

That's true, I am. And at least you're willing to hear all opinions, good and bad. :thumbup: For the record, the number of emails you sent may not be enough for the next person to consider it spam, that comment was just one person't opinion. Don't take my comments to speak for anyone but myself.

I agree. It's a free knife. I very high end free knife at that. I don't mind waiting awhile to see who wins.
 
It's Christmas guys. Things can get rather busy around the holidays with family and stuff. Give the guy a break.
We'll know when we know. And I'm sure it'll be soon. ;)

There is an old cliche saying "don't bite the hand that feeds."

I have a young child who, if I give her one piece of candy she wants two. If I give her 2 pieces of candy she wants three... And so on and so forth... Get my point?

Now, lets all just enjoy the wait... Like I said, when I win this, I will post pics of me flicking the holy living sin out of it!
 
Knives Emporium has been pretty much the only dealer to do this many giveaways given the time they have been around. To see people just complain while they're hoping to win free stuff is pretty pathetic. And if Lone_Wolfe solely registered just to win and calls the newsletter which comes maybe once every several weeks spam Knives Emporium might as well kick him off the list now for any future giveaways.

I got a LOT more email than just the once every several weeks newslwtter you're referring to. I woun't mind a couple emails a month, like you're talking about.

I only get an email from them once a week, if that. Hardly enough to consider it spam. Are you sure all the emails are from them directly?
 
In defense of Lone_Wolfe in general--she is a true player when it comes to knives. I don't know her personally, but have had one transaction with her and she is solid as a rock. I don't know what her knife buying budget is, but judging by her collections of Hinderers and CRK's it is much, much larger than mine. She is a customer any knife shop would want to have!

Ps: it is cool to have a GAL into knives too!
 
I don't know what you're referring to then. I only get at most, an email a week--usually less. Even if it was say, 2-3 emails a week I wouldn't consider that spam......Anyhow I don't want to start a war on this thread...hopefully we just see the end results so all these people can be put to rest.
 
I dont mind the wait, the anticipation is brutal, but most of you know half the fun of this giveaway has been checking you're email every hour or so hoping to see that message. At least for me it has been lol. I think these giveaways are awesome, and yes it is good for publicity, what's the point in giving away an $800 knife if you dont get something out of it? I have yet to win any giveaways but i still have fun waiting to see who the winner is!

If they're not, them I'm curious who they're from. They DO say Knife Emporium, and I got a couple a week, sometimes even more, ever since I signed up. I deleted them all, or I'd post one to see if anyone else here got the same one from them.
