Couldn't decide between the Fontenille-Pataud Sperone (lock-back Vendetta) and the Opi-10.
The Sperone feels more luxurious, but somehow the Opinel is better at cutting stuff.

Im in. Thanks! The Laguiole is my fav french pattern. I do not own one yet. I think this black and silver is a very classy look on a very classy knife. The opinel is a close second and i do own a few of those.

I’m in. The Opinel is my favorite French knife and maybe the most meaningful knife because it’s what my dad carried and what I carried for the first 25 years of my life. I’ve destroyed a few along the way, this one included, the pin is working it’s way out through the end grain of the wood.

Favorite production French pattern is the Opinel, because I own them and use them, and give them to others.
I have a bowl full of them on my dresser.

Use them all the time.

To whittle

I've even used them to castrate calves...
